Surbiton Filter beds planning application

Whilst the official deadline for submitting comments on the planning application for the Surbiton Filter Beds has passed, all comments received up to the decision in January will be taken into account as late material.  The application is for 64 residential homes on a floating pontoon, a 92 berth marina and lock gate, restaurant, landscaping and car parking, and a publicly accessible nature reserve, riverside walk, heritage and education centre, flood storage and a river taxi stop.

Please do send in your comments if you have not already done so, they will be taken into account.  Also please copy these comments to your ward Councillors, so that we can use them when we sit on the Neighbourhood Committee that will be part of the process.

For anyone interested in wildlife on the site and the heritage please do have a look at http://alisonfure.blogspot.com/ and http://seethingwellswater.org. Please note, both these sites are by residents in the area and so do not necessarily represent the views of the Councillors, but have interesting information which is why we are bringing them to residents’ attention.
