Please also send copies Diane, Yogan and Liz as ward Councillors, so they can know your views.

The final decision will taken by the Surbiton Neighbourhood Committee public meeting on 2nd September 2014.

Utterly dreadful proposal. Who on earth is going to dawdle down Surbiton Hill Road? Claremont Road? St Marks Hill? Upper Brighton Road? Even Avenue Elmers? How can the incrimination of people here be positive? What accidents have there been at any kind of speed, that will magically be resolved by this? How does this encourage cycling, considering this is trying to criminalise them down 4 different hills? How much will it cost? How ugly will all the signs and markings make our town? And what kind of justification is “to join together the existing 20 limits” – which from evidence on your own site are obviously completely inappropriate and utterly ridiculous?

It is exactly this idiocy, this wasting of money, this ruining of our pretty borough, that led to the Lib Dems losing Kingston Council. I hope the Tories realise this, and do not vote for this awful scheme.

Thank you for your comments. I hope you have also sent them to Kingston Council, so they are included in the responses. We have received many positive comments as well as a few objections. We encourage all residents/businesses to respond to the Council consultation. Whilst the official deadline has now passed, comments for or against the proposals can still be sent in to tmo@rbk.kingston.gov.uk until the end of August. A decision will be made on 2nd September by the Surbiton Neighbourhood committee. This is a public meeting and anyone interested is encouraged to attend.
