Last week, Surbiton Tories decided that local decision-making was wrong.  They disagreed with a 20mph limit in Surbiton town centre roads as agreed by the local Lib Dem run committee, so they sent it to full council to overturn it.  For more details on the original consultation (including the roads) and the decision see our previous postings.

We believe not only that local decisions should be made by local Councillors, but that 20mph on residential roads makes Surbiton safer for all – pedestrians, cyclists and vehicles.  That’s why we’ve set up a petition online.  We need to let all the Tory Councillors before it comes to full Council on 4th November.
