After an initial litter pick in Claremont Gardens at the start of the year and an inaugural meeting last month attended by over 50 residents last month, the Surbiton Wildlife Group is really getting going. At a smaller meeting earlier this month, residents agreed a management committee and set up a constitution, so they can start applying for grants and other fundraising opportunities.
Their website will be launched soon, but they have a facebook page and are on Twitter @Surb_WL
Next week on Saturday 18th April, Surbiton Wildlife Group have space at the Surbiton Farmers Market, to promote membership and sell raffle tickets. The monies raised will be well used and ultimately result in an improved Claremont Gardens. Tickets are £1 each with some great prizes donated by local businesses and also available from COOK Surbiton, Regency Bookshop and Clocktower Cafe. The draw will take place at Surbiton Festival on 4th May.
