Surbiton’s first community forum

by lizgreen on 14 November, 2015

On Tuesday 10th November, Surbiton Neighbourhood ran its first community forum on the theme of Smarter Streets. Around 40 local residents met together with local Councillors and partners to discuss various aspects of improving our area.

It was great to meet with residents interested in making Surbiton an even better place to live, work or visit.  Lots of concerns were discussed like street cleaning in Berrylands, beggars in the town centre and cycle routes but one of the clearest messages was the desire to introduce 20mph in all residential roads.  Thank you to everyone who came and I look forward to the next community forum in the new year.  If you have any suggestions for themes for that meeting please do let us know.
