Next Thursday, 3rd May, London will elect it’s London representatives. Whilst all the media is on the Mayoral candidates there are 3 elections and Kingston Borough’s constituency for the Greater London Authority is South West London.
For the past 12 years Kingston’s representative on the London Assembly – the person who is looking out for Kingston residents – is Richmond Councillor Tony Arbour. The Liberal Democrat canidate is Munira Wilson.
In my view Tony Arbour has done very little for Kingston over my time on Kingston Council. He spent 4 years as Leader of Richmond Council, whilst claiming the full allowance on the Greater London Assembly. By contrast Munira Wilson has already been working in Kingston – getting involved in what matters to Kingston residents.
