Surbiton Police are reporting a scam.

A resident in Surbiton recieved a phone call from someone suggesting there was a problem with their computer. They were suspicious and while on the phone checked if this was a known scam. Seems it is – http://www.guardian.co.uk/technology/blog/2011/mar/01/microsoft-virus-scam-continues

The call came from someone purporting to be from Invincible PC Care Tel 442032672112. They tried to convince the resident by getting them to check a piece of information on their PC which is the same on every PC so they amazingly get it right. The resident put the phone down on them but potentially they could get a lot of personal information from you.
