A review of health services in South West London

by admin on 21 June, 2012

The challenge for the NHS is great over the coming years – they need to become more efficient whilst improving the care they provide. Our ageing population means increased pressure on the NHS so we need to look at how the NHS keeps up with the growing demand.

Local doctors, nurses and therapists have come together with patients and their representatives to review health services in south west London. This review is called Better Services Better Value.

Doctors, from hospitals and general practices, alongside patient representatives, are leading six clinical working groups to look at the following areas:

  1. Planned care
  2. Urgent, unscheduled and emergency care
  3. Maternity and newborn care
  4. Children’s services
  5. Long term conditions
  6. End of life care

This is an ongoing discussion and no decision has been made yet – get involved! The NHS are continuously surveying the public to find out what matters to you so that we can put forward proposals for our services in south west London.  More details or to subscribe to their email newsletter, can be found here.
