This evening saw hundreds of residents out supporting Surbiton. The annual Christmas lights switch on is supported by the Council, Surbiton Rotary and the Surbiton Business Community.
Our thanks go to Kingston University Students Union Lucy and Michael who stepped in to become Cinderella and Prince Charming for the afternoon at very short notice!
Also all the Surbiton Business who gave time and money to put on a good show.

It was great for young children with Cinderella and Prince Charming as well as Father Christmas accompanied by a festive lion and bear. It is great to see so many residents and nearly all the Surbiton Councillors come to show their support for our town centre. It’s about everyone pulling together to show off our great community. Highlights for me were Robyn-Mae singing and Pickled Pantry cakes!

As a member of Surbiton Rotary, I’ve been involved in helping organise it this year and I’m especially pleased to say that our Father Christmas will be making other appearances around Surbiton including at the Farmers Market on 6th December.
