This week, Edward Davey MP for Kingston and Surbiton, was out all over Surbiton to view the shop windows taking part in the Surbiton Business Community Christmas window competition.

With a prize fund of £1,000 it is worth businesses taking part, but more I think it’s about the business community coming
together to support each other.  Working together,with Council support and local Councillors, we can help keep a vibrant shop centre.  I hope residents will also support our shop local Surbiton campaign.

Winners of the shop window competition will be announced on Monday 23rd December.

ShopLocalSurbiton.co.uk is a website started by the St Mark’s Ward Councillors and dedicated to the independent shops of Surbiton.  It has a directory to find the shop/eating place or business that you want, a pledge to sign to shop local and comments from others to help you pick the right place for you.
