The Conservative Administration has made a budget announcement that Kingston Council, with the support of the Mayor of London, Boris Johnson will fund extra police in the town centre of Kingston.

Kingston was one of the safest boroughs in London during our Administration and we all know that the London Mayor, Boris Johnson has cut police numbers in the borough.

I have no problem at all with him putting police back in Kingston as he is responsible for providing the right number but I fail to see why residents should pay twice!  Every year Kingston is already losing local services through our own budget cuts.
