Last Saturday, dozens of Kingston residents including Edward Davey MP and Dame Jacqueline Wilson, came together to protest about the proposed 21 storey block on the old post office site. The ‘Kingston Swarm’ was organised via the @KingstonSkyline twitter account and included residents from all over Kingston and from all walks of life.
The successful event was slightly overshadowed after the Leader of the Council, Kevin Davies, tweeted “@KingstonSkyline I am listening and happy to talk anytime but lesson of campaigning no 1 is don’t upset the people in power.” The Kingston Guardian covered the story.
