Important consultation on Licensing in Kingston

by lizgreen on 16 August, 2015

Kingston Council are currently consulting on its licensing policy.  This policy is the basis of all applications to sell alcohol and late night food, so it affects all Kingston’s pubs, clubs, restaurants.

The consultation runs until 11th October and covers areas like anti-social behaviour, increase in homes in Kingston town centre, protection of children and reducing health problems associated with alcohol.

This policy is the backbone for Council’s decisions on how long a pub can open for and how many/which types of pubs and clubs the borough should have.  It seems to be written in a very Kingston Town Centre centric way, but it will affect the whole borough including Surbiton, so it’s vital as many people as possible feed into this consultation.

says Liberal Democrat spokes person for Partnerships, Councillor Yogan Yoganathan
