Kingston Pound Trial at Surbiton Food Festival

by admin on 11 January, 2014

Kingston Pound is an excellent project that uses a local currency to keep the money in the Royal Borough of Kingston.  It will bring more business to the independent traders of Kingston Borough, strengthen the local economy and keep our high streets diverse and distinct – one of our great characteristics.

They are getting ready to trial it and have chosen the Surbiton Food Festival, as long as they get enough residents and businesses to sign up to it.

They need about 100 Surbiton residents, with a pioneering spirit, to convert at least £20 into K£.  This means that there will be at least £2,000 of money ready to spend at the festival from 3rd  to 18th May 2014.

As an extra incentive to sign up (and pay up) early, for those who do before the end of March, Kingston Pound will ensure that your first name and surname is incorporated into the design of the note!

Let’s get the 100 people, or more, and the businesses.  Show that as a community we are behind Kingston Pound and our independent traders.
